10 Steps to Network Marketing Success

Every year thousands of people sign up for one or more of the hundreds of network marketing companies available today with the hopes of making some part-time cash to supplement their income. They start the business full of enthusiasm and fired up. But for 95% of the newcomers, the enthusiasm wears thin within the first 30 to 60 days. But why? Most new distributors give up because they can’t bring others into the business and make money in their first 90 days. So they say, “I’m just not a salesman” just to justify to themselves why they should quit the business.
But for those that don’t quit and strive for greatness, they become winners. Network Marketing has produced some of the most amazing success stories in the world. The beauty of network marketing is that anyone can be successful in this business. Doesn’t matter what your back ground is, doesn’t matter what your age is, anyone can be successful! With every network marketing company, there are general steps to follow. Below are 10 general steps to success with primarily any network marketing company.
10 Steps To Success
- Develop your ‘Why”: Why are you in MLM? Your “Why” is a very important aspect of this business. Your “Why” should make you cry. If it doesn’t make you cry, then you have to dig deeper. Some say if you have the “Why” figured out, the “How” will reveal itself. You find your purpose for
being in this business. - Become a Product of the Product: If your company has a product, you should never buy a competing product for any reason, ever! Purchasing a competing product takes money out of your business and puts it into someone else’s. You must use all of your company’s products that apply to you and be able to talk knowledgeably and enthusiastically about those products to effectively build your business.
- Set up your Autoship: If your company has an autoship program, you should be on it. In most companies, you must be on autoship in order to qualify for your payout. This is a small investment, usually $100 – $150/mo.
- Create a Candidate List: This is one of the most important steps. Do not skip it and do not do it halfway. Just start writing down names of everyone you know. You need a prospect list of 100 -200 minimum.
- Book 4 Showcases: You want to hit the ground running so you need to book 4 showcases off the bat. Put your up-line in front of 5 – 10 people as soon as possible. This can start the momentum in your business.
- Plug into “The System” & Take Action: Your company should have a system that duplicates. If there is no system in place, then you need to find yourself another company. If there is a system in place then just follow the steps. Plug into that system and Take Action!
- Invest in Your Inventory: Consider investing $500 – $,1000 in additional products. You need products in order to do business. It’s the experience that sells the business.
- What are You Willing to Sacrifice for a Season: In order to become successful at network marketing, you are going to have to make some sacrifices. This may be the TV, recreational activities, social clubs, etc. Remember that this is only for a season and once you have reached your goals you will be able to enjoy these items more abundantly.
- Find a Mentor/Self-Development Time: Your business will grow only as fast as you do. A mentor and/or spending daily self-development time will help you develop new skills as your business progresses.
- Plan Your Work & Work Your Plan: Schedule your Game Plan with your sponsor or Team Leader. Set realistic goals for your business and execute them. Setting goals is a very important part of success in network marketing. I like to set big goals (90 day goals) then set tiny goals (30day goals) to reach the big goals. Then set up weekly goals to be sure you reach your tiny, 30 day goals.
