The other day I was talking to some friends in my warm market about the business opportunity.  One of them said, “I’ve been in several network marketing companies and they don’t work.  So give me one reason why I should look at your business?”

To begin with I want to say that just because you attempted to try something and failed, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.  Just because you have a network marketing company doesn’t mean money is going to come flowing in either.  As a matter fact, 97% of all network marketers fail!

When you build a business from scratch or even open a franchise, there is always work to do.   Well it is the same for MLM.  There is always work to do but the convenience is what makes it such a desired entity.  You can build your business by just living your life and socializing with others, shopping in the grocery store, sitting in the doctors office, and anywhere you go.

A number of failed entrepreneurs and scam artist have given network marketing a bad name, but it is coming around.  I believe, just as Robert Kiyosaki said, that Network Marketing is the business of the 21st century.  So to answer the question that was proposed to me by a friend, I wanted to dig deep and go over and beyond his request.  Below is a list of 20 reasons to have a network marketing business.

1. Low start up cost:  For most network marketing companies, the start up cost is relatively inexpensive.  I’ve seen start up cost range from $50 to $150.  This is a small investment for your own business.  In order to start a franchise you are looking at spending a minimum of $20,000.
2. Tax advantages:  Having a network marketing company is having your own business.  You are now in the “B” quadrant of the Cashflow Quadrant.  You are manifesting people’s time, mind, and energy to make money for you.
3. Personal Development:  This is a necessity if you plan on being successful in network marketing.  As you grow, your business grows.  In addition, personal development is great for your character and
4. You get to help others:  Network marketing is all about helping others be successful.  When you help others get what they want, you get what you want.  Team work makes the dream work.
5. Fulfill Your Dreams:  Network marketing can provide you with the income to live the lifestyle that you’ve dreamed of.  It can be a vehicle to transform your dreams into a reality.
6. No longer trading hours for dollars:  We’ve been programed to trade hours for dollars by securing a job.  But trading hours for dollars isn’t taking full advantage of your time.  Building a profitable business is taking full advantage of your time and the rewards are life changing.
7. Time Freedom: Time is the only element of our lives that can’t be replaced.  We can replace money, we can replace gifts, but time is non-replaceable.  Network marketing gives us more time to do those things that we want to do and that we enjoy doing.
8. Choose who to work with:  This is one of my favorite benefits of network marketing.  We can choose who we want to work with, unlike a conventional job when you are stuck working with an annoying, lazy coworker.
9. Product discount:  Most network marketing companies have great products.  I enjoy getting those products at wholesale prices and you will too.
10. You are your own boss:  There is nothing like being your own boss.  I’m sure you can imagine the benefits of this.
11. No Income cap:  When you have a network marketing business, the sky is the limit to your income.  You can make as much money as you put forth the effort to make.
12. Leverage:  This one benefit is ingenious!  In your network marketing business, you get to leverage the time of others, while getting paid.  Would you rather get paid 100% from your own efforts, or 1% from the efforts of 100 people?
13. Simple System:  Most network marketing companies have a simple system for you to learn and use.  You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, simply follow the system that is laid out in front of you.
14. Recession Proof:  Most network marketing businesses are recession proof.  Usually their products are of great quality as compared to everyday traditional products.
15. Build a Legacy:  There is nothing like building your own legacy that will be around for generations to come.
16. Passive Income:  This is one of the most important aspects of financial freedom.  When you build a company or business and can receive passive income for years then you’ve created the ultimate pay.  Passive cash flow income is something that we all need in order to build true wealth.
17. Retire Early:  People would normally retire around the age of 60 years old.  But due to the economic system collapsing, a number of elderly individuals find themselves working after the age of 60 just to survive.  With a network marketing company, you can build a successful business and retire when you wish to stop working.
18. Part-time Business:  With focus and dedication, you can build a successful network marketing company part-time.
19. Perfect Time:  Due to the economic cycles of our economy and based on the cycle we are currently in, a direct sales company is one of the most desired and lucrative professions available.  The revenue generated via direct sales assists in boosting the economy because people are making money and spending it.
20. Free On-The-Job Training:  As a network marketer, you should get some free training from your sponsor or up-line.  That’s how this system works!  In order for you to be successful, you must help others to be successful.  That’s what makes this business structure such a phenomenal investment!

Network marketing is truly the business of the 21st Century.  There are over 83 million home based businesses in the U.S. alone!  More and more big businesses are laying workers off, not due to any fault of their own, but the businesses can no longer afford to pay their workers and executives.  Now you have the option to become the CEO of your own company and get CEO pay!  Isn’t that exciting!  If you need help in getting started in your home based business, contact me.
