Sample Your Way to Success!

I went into Sams club the other day to do some shopping. Whenever I go, I usually take my entire family. Why? Because we can almost guarantee that there will be a multitude of different samples of food and drink that we can try. It’s great, because my kids are picky eaters, so my wife and I get to see what it is that they like and don’t like.
This marketing strategy is a concept that has been in use for years! For example, most department stores let you sample the cologne or perfume and you can sample any of the delicious flavors of ice cream at Baskin & Robins. Because of the samples, we may or may not find a new favorite, but we always come back.
I use samples as my primary offline network marketing strategy. Initially I just gave away samples to those I knew and would follow up with them. But using the product samples in this manner wasn’t effective. Instead, I exchange with the prospect a sample for their contact information. When I give out samples, I’m getting in return a name and phone number or email. Sampling is very effective because it creates a personal experience with the product that ultimately leads to product loyalty. For years, network marketers have pondered the question, “do you lead with the product or the business opportunity?” In most cases, I lead with the product. Because in order to be successful , you have to be a product of the product first. This creates passion and excitement about the product when shared with others. Everybody in the world is a network marketer to some degree. We all have tried something new, enjoyed it, and shared it with others. That’s what network marketing is all about, sharing your experience. What better way to introduce someone to a product than with a free sample. With focus, persistence, and follow ups, one can build a lucrative business using samples.
